Integrating Success Highways
in Your School
Teacher Materials

Teacher's Guide
The 285-page guide contains 15 45-minute lesson plans and all the necessary tools needed to effectively implement this program. Each of the seven units includes an introduction, a materials task list to prepare both the instructor and the classroom, procedures for conducting the lessons, enrichment/homework activities, and instructor follow-up and evaluation.

Inspirational Posters
An inspirational wall poster is included for each of the seven units that defines the theme of the topic being covered. This allows students to focus on important words, their meanings, and how they relate to their lives.

Billboards (Reusable, Erasable White Boards)
Many of the classroom activities revolve around communication and sharing. Erasable white boards are passed out to the students, who are encouraged to use them to write their responses to questions. Students hold up their boards so the teacher can consolidate the class responses without singling out a particular student.

Revving Up Questionnaires and Answer Sheets
The program begins with each student taking a confidential assessment (Revving Up) consisting of 108 questions related to academic confidence and stress; motivation to attend school; connections with family, teachers, and peers; health and wellbeing; and the importance of school and college.

Moving On Questionnaires and Answer Sheets
The Moving On questionnaire is given to students after they complete the Success Highways curriculum. This data is then compared with the Revving Up data, and used to generate a report on the growth and development that have occurred as a result of Success Highways.

Student Materials
This kit contains 50 My Success Roadmap journals and 50 single-pocket file folders to hold the Roadmap and bar graphs.

My Success Roadmap
Every student receives a journal containing specific activities for each lesson presented in Success Highways. The highly engaging exercises in this 32-page journal allow students to identify their own challenges, establish a plan for addressing those challenges, and chart a course toward academic and life success.

Student Bar Graphs
Responses to the Revving Up questionnaire are converted into an individualized bar graph profile for each student. These graphs allow students to compare their averages with those of a larger group of students. Students use the bar graphs to define their own challenges, and each lesson of Success Highways teaches them how to navigate through those challenges.

Every student receives a journal containing specific activities for each lesson presented in Success Highways.
