Forum on Dropout Prevention & Student Engagement

ScholarCentric and the Colorado Department of Education hosted the 2nd Annual Forum on Dropout Prevention and Student Engagement on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Admas 12 Five Star Schools in Thornton, Colorado.

 

This year's event focused on the Colorado Graduation Pathways (CGP) grant recipients to provide technical solutions, and in-depth discussions from industry experts.

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Reg Weaver, past president of the National Education Association, works with front-line educators to increase their comfort, understanding and motivation in academic resiliency skills. As a former middle school teacher and a recent recipient of the Augustus "Gus" Hawkins Award for Excellence in Education, Mr. Weaver has been described as a "passionate advocate for quality education and for providing solutions to problems that plague schools that serve the poor and minorities".  Author of Outside the Box, Inside the School: Building Academic Resiliency
